Message Alright, so most of you guys probably don't know or care who I am, but since I've been frequenting the boards lately and asking everyone here for help I might as well introduce myself ;P Anyhow, as stated, Phase I has been initiated and the battle is being waged strongly in my favor!

As of 11:57 PM EST, my forces reclaimed both garage bays despite parental and material defiance. It was a long, nasty battle that spanned the better part of the last 2 weeks, but through vigilance we have taken ground! Approximately 1-2 tons of JUNK had to be excavated from this "storage room", and I am sad to not have taken a picture of it before...you literally couldn't get from one side to the other. Although enemy forces still remain, they have been routed and seperated and thus are no longer a threat; this battle will be over before the break of daylight! What few items remain are getting trashed or going to the attic, but the important part is that both of my babies have a place to stay ;) Unfortunately the parents vehicles are stuck outside, but hey, every war has its' casualties ;) Total control is imminent.

As far as the sisters go:

I've had my 1990 pearl white NA for about 3 years. It was always my dream car, and to make a long story short I purchased it from a 1-owner army general with 86,000 garaged miles who used the $$$ to buy a Ford Focus (ROFL!). (Regretfully) I've gotten it up to 109,900, but she's going into hibernation, and going to be a one-weekend-a-month car when the weather becomes ideal. I threw a K&N and Borla on her and called it a day, and aside from a future JSPEC bumper and blue maxima side mirrors she will be molested no further. My goal is to keep her as close to stock as possible, with just enough modification to be tasteful, and keep her that way for the next ~20 years :D. Now most people would find that heartbreaking, but...well let's just say I got a new toy anyways.

About a year ago I was (unfortunately) introduced to the dark side by a local (NissanGuyZ32). Anyone who drove an NA knows where I am coming from...WHOA! It's never the same climbing back into your own car. I knew that very day I had to have one, but could not bear the thought of selling my near-immaculate pearl or *gasp* swapping the engine, so I decided I must find another. Here I am a year later, and I found a cherry red pearl 1991 TT with 114,000 miles. Bought it for $5600 from a guy who lost interest in it (approaching his 40's) when he started bass fishing and used the money towards a competition bass boat (over $40K). He's an anesthesiologist, so I doubt he's feeling the pinch. Anyhow, although it's not as nice as the white pearl, it is in perfect mechanical condition (just got 100k maint before purchase), and the paint is in really great shape aside from where some dumb@%$& drove behind a gravel truck or something; the entire front clip is pitted to hell (even the winshield). But, beggars can't be choosers, and I would be hard pressed to search for another 2 years and come across such a deal, so I am happy for now. Although at first I was tempted to flip it and invest the $$$ into a lower mileage Z, I found this course to be slightly redundant mainly due to the fact that I intend to upgrade most of the parts that I have to worry about failing at this point in the Z's life. Anyways, 114K isnt much for a Z. So, I am going to chalk up the savings as just that and start building my first monster :) BTW got a daily beater to keep the miles off of both of them.

So, here i am. Both Z's are successfully in the garage at this point, and I have a small collection of parts ready to install. I am quite gifted in the realm of detailing, but unfortunately I don't know a wrench from my ass! (Plan to change this aspect) However, I bought a pricey used 1991 service manual (i know theres one online, but nothing beats a good book on hand) and have a very competent friend, so I am confident that I can learn. Everyone has to start somewhere! But for now, here are a few pictures of where I'm at and where I'm going. If you have advice or criticism, please chime in! I know most of you guys have been through all of this stuff before, so you may be able to lend some advice on up-and-coming stuff.

By the way, thank you all from saving my ass on a bad purchase. I was looking at some FN01-RC's b/c I was tempted by their gold color w/ my red pearl, but after installing the a pop-charger and constantly breaking traction, I realised very quickly getting narrower wheels was a REALLY BAD IDEA!

Needless to say, Bernie's SSR Integrals will be arriving soon :)

I couldn't be happier though. Never would have though a simple machine could bring so much joy to life ;D I'm just sitting here listening to RUSH and gettin all giddy about wrenchin all this stuff into place and starting this project! Havent thought too much about how far I am going to take it...I think it might be a matter of how far it takes me!

I'll make sure to post some good pictures of both cars when the rain moves out of the area.

Yeah, I know its not much to show for now, but its a start! RPS Sport street clutch and flywheel w/ 3K miles, new megan testpipes, barely used megan DP's, probably going to purchase another borla system soon bolted together, and the wheels of course. While the transmission is down my buddy and I are going to look everything over, change/replace things that look like they could use it.

Speaking of which, since I am changing the clutch, are there any associated parts that come to mind that I should look into as well (i.e. shifter bushings, SS clutch line, pivot ball, bearings and whatnot?). I'd rather chunk out now than have to fool with dropping again...read in a related post about a rear transmission seal???

Thanks guys, looking forward to (attempting) to contribute to the community here!
